Before storing the tent, make sure it is 100% dry to avoid mold and stains. After traveling with a roof tent, leave the tent open for a few hours to air out and wipe down the interior and floor.
If necessary, remove and wash the mattress cover. Depending on the humidity in the room, it is preferable to store the mattress outside the tent.
You can also leave the tent on the car roof all year round. In this case, open and ventilate it regularly so that moisture cannot accumulate in it. Tip: Placing desiccant bags (silica gel bags) under the mattress can help.
